Rebbetzin Sandy Levine is a pioneering voice in the Messianic Jewish movement whose leadership, creativity, and compassion have touched lives across North America, Europe, and Israel. For more than four decades, she has served as a congregational founder, teacher, and mentor—helping to shape the identity and growth of the modern Messianic community. Alongside her husband, Rabbi David Levine, she co-founded and led congregations in Virginia, New York, and Budapest before planting deep roots at Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue in Jacksonville, where she now serves as Rebbetzin Emerita.
Sandy’s ministry has combined spiritual leadership with remarkable organizational and creative vision. She helped design and oversee the construction of Beth Israel’s 20,000-square-foot sanctuary and Shalom Center, established Messianic women’s ministries and retreats, and co-founded Shalom Network International to resource and mentor leaders worldwide. Her influence has extended to mentoring Messianic rabbis, rebbetzins, and congregational teams across Europe and the former Soviet Union—raising up leaders and nurturing communities grounded in faith, integrity, and joy.
An entrepreneur as well as a ministry leader, Sandy founded several successful businesses and has written devotional materials and articles for Messianic publications. She is a gifted conference speaker known for her insight, warmth, and humor, and continues to serve at Beth Israel as a source of wisdom, direction, and encouragement. She and Rabbi David have been married for nearly five decades, and love spending time with their children and seven grandchildren.
