We set up signs along the side of the road to point you to the right direction as you approach! Our campus sits in a peaceful lakeside setting within the Deerwood Center office park. Plenty of parking is available right outside the sanctuary and Shalom Center buildings, with plenty of spaces for guests. Handicap-accessible parking and entrances are also provided.

You’ll see a range of attire at Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue—from business casual to more traditional synagogue wear. Some men wear kippot (yarmulkes) or tallitot (prayer shawls), and women may wear head coverings, though this is optional. Most visitors dress neatly but comfortably. The most important thing is that you feel welcome and free to worship with us.

No. While Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue places value on Jewish identity and tradition, people from all backgrounds are very welcome! Many in our community are non-Jewish believers who feel called to worship the God of Israel and support the Jewish people. We worship together as one body in Messiah.

A Messianic Jewish synagogue is a community where Jewish and non-Jewish people worship the God of Israel, study the Scriptures, and follow Yeshua (Jesus) as the promised Messiah—all within a Jewish context.

We pray in Hebrew and English, read from the Torah, observe Biblical holidays, and celebrate the continuity of faith from Abraham to today, with Yeshua at the center.

Our Saturday morning Shabbat service includes a combination of traditional Jewish liturgy (in Hebrew and English), praise and worship, a Torah procession, Scripture readings, and a teaching grounded in both the Tanach and the B’rit Hadasha (New Covenant). Expect a joyful yet reverent atmosphere with music, prayer, and community.

The Saturday morning service typically lasts about 2 hours. Afterward, we invite everyone to stay for Oneg—a communal lunch in the Shalom Center. It’s a relaxed time to connect, meet new people, and enjoy conversation over a shared meal. There is no cost for the lunch and RSVP is not required.

Yes. While we incorporate Hebrew in many of our prayers and songs, English translations are always provided—both in the liturgy and through projection screens. We want everyone to be able to follow and participate, regardless of their Hebrew fluency.

Absolutely. We offer Shabbat School during the Saturday service for toddlers through pre-teens. Children learn age-appropriate biblical lessons and engage with Jewish customs and Messianic themes. A nursery is also available for infants and toddlers. Teens are welcome in the main service or may participate in youth events and service projects.

Yes. The sanctuary and Shalom Center are both accessible to people with mobility challenges. Our facility is all on one level and we offer wheelchair seating. If you need help during your visit, our ushers are happy to assist.

We do. Beth Israel faithfully observes the appointed times including Passover, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Hanukkah, and Purim.

These celebrations include special services, communal meals, and teachings that reveal the Messianic fulfillment of each holy day. They are rich in tradition and open to all. Please refer to our online calendar for special holiday service dates and times.

That’s okay. Many who visit Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue are still exploring faith in Yeshua or returning after a long time away.

You’re welcome to come, listen, ask questions, and engage at your own pace. No pressure—just an open door and a welcoming community.

While some aspects may feel familiar (teaching, music, prayer), Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue is not a church. We are a Messianic Jewish synagogue, honoring the full scripture, Jewish tradition, and God’s covenants with Israel. Our services include Hebrew prayers, Torah readings, and observance of the Biblical holidays—all while affirming Yeshua as Messiah.

Messianic Judaism is a natural continuation of ancient worship, honoring what God began through Abraham in bringing Messiah Yeshua into the world.

Beth Israel looks and feels very much like a traditional synagogue in many ways. We are led by a rabbi, we read from the Torah scroll, celebrate Shabbat together, pray and sing in Hebrew, and honor Moses as a great prophet of our people.

Where we differ is in our understanding that the promised Messiah has already come into the world—Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus). We believe He is the final and ultimate atoning sacrifice of Yom Kippur and the Passover Lamb of Pesach, who came first for the Jewish people and also for all the nations.

At Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue, Jewish and non-Jewish believers join together in worship, honoring the God of Israel and celebrating the fulfillment of His promises through Messiah Yeshua.

Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue is a proud member of both the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA) and the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues (IAMCS).

Being part of these organizations connects us with the wider Messianic Jewish movement throughout the United States and around the world. Through the MJAA and IAMCS, our congregation stands in unity with other synagogues that share the same faith in Yeshua as the promised Messiah of Israel. These alliances provide accountability, shared leadership, and a strong foundation of sound biblical doctrine. They also give our members access to national conferences, youth camps, training programs, and humanitarian outreach projects in Israel and beyond.

Affiliation with the MJAA and IAMCS ensures that Beth Israel remains rooted in authentic Messianic Jewish expression—faithful to Scripture, connected to our heritage, and part of a global community committed to the restoration of Israel and the advancement of Messiah’s Kingdom.

Yes. We livestream our Saturday morning Shabbat service on Facebook and YouTube each week. You can also listen to our weekly Messianic Jewish Teachings With Rabbi David Levine podcast, available on major platforms. This is a great option if you’re exploring from a distance or unable to attend in person.

Yes. We understand the unique dynamics of interfaith families, and Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue is a welcoming environment for both Jewish and non-Jewish spouses and children. We’re here to support your family’s journey and honor the heritage of both partners while focusing on unity in Yeshua.

Absolutely. Many in our community have similar stories. We offer educational resources, discipleship, and relational support to help you explore your heritage and understand what it means to walk as a Jewish follower of Yeshua.

No. We welcome guests in all stages of belief. You're not expected to fully agree with our doctrine before attending or participating in services. We simply ask that visitors be respectful of the community's values and practices.

Yes. Membership involves attending a Welcome Class, followed by a Membership Class, and then a one-on-one meeting with Rabbi David. This helps you learn about our mission, beliefs, and community expectations—and gives us a chance to support your faith journey.

If you’re ready to place your faith in Yeshua, you can begin by speaking to Him honestly. There’s no formula, but we can guide you through Scripture and prayer. Our leaders would be honored to talk with you, pray with you, and help you take the next step in faith.

Yes. We’re happy to host visiting groups, including youth, educational, or interfaith groups. Please contact our office ahead of time at info@bethisraelnow.com so we can plan to welcome your group.

Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue affirms God’s ongoing covenant with the people and land of Israel. We support the modern State of Israel and pray for her peace, security, and spiritual redemption through Messiah Yeshua. Our congregation is also involved in humanitarian efforts and tree-planting initiatives in Israel.

Messianic Judaism teaches that Jewish believers in Yeshua do not cease to be Jewish. Our faith is not a departure from Judaism, but a continuation and fulfillment of it. While we believe in the Messiah and the New Covenant, we do so while keeping Jewish identity, culture, and lifestyle central—not blending into mainstream Christianity.

We’d love to hear from you. You can call the office at (904) 731‑9636 or email info@bethisraelnow.com.

If you're planning to visit, feel free to introduce yourself to one of our greeters or ask to speak with a member of our leadership team after the service.

We believe the Torah is holy, enduring, and relevant. At Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue, we teach that Torah is fulfilled—not abolished—in Yeshua. We observe biblical commandments in light of Messiah’s redemptive work and encourage members to walk in obedience with joy, not legalism. Our practice reflects a balance of grace, identity, and covenant continuity.

We believe the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) is fully God—present at creation, active in the prophets, and poured out upon believers through Yeshua. The Spirit empowers us to live godly lives, comforts us, convicts of sin, and guides us into truth. We embrace the gifts of the Spirit as biblical and active today, always in order and alignment with Scripture.

Yes. We offer mikvah (immersion) for those placing their faith in Yeshua. It is a public act of repentance, renewal, and identification with Messiah’s death and resurrection. Immersion is taught from both Jewish and New Covenant perspectives and is available during special services or by request.

Our teaching ministry is Bible-based, Spirit-led, and Messiah-centered. Rabbi David’s sermons are drawn from the weekly Torah portion, the B’rit Hadasha, and relevant themes in Jewish life and discipleship. Teaching is designed to be both deeply theological and practically applicable. You'll hear original insights, spiritual encouragement, and prophetic clarity.

While pets are not permitted in the sanctuary, certified service animals are welcome in compliance with ADA regulations. Please let a greeter know if you’re visiting with a service animal so we can assist you accordingly.
